I don't know what it is about my mom, but she cannot say words correctly to save her life. Seriously, she is a 1st grade teacher. You'd think she could get her phonics down. Tonight she asked me if I wanted to go get some gelapo. She was trying to ask me if I wanting to get some Italian ice cream known as gelato. What's gelapo, where did she get that? I have know idea. My brothers and I keep a running list of her word mistakes. Here are some classic ones:
"I lay my head down on a pilla" (pillow)
"I would like some guacamala on my taca" (guacamole, taco)
"Have you seen Jurastic Park?" (Jurassic)
"I miss NBC's old nightly news anchor Tom Brokoff" (Brokaw)
I know, it's totally hilarious. I wonder if her students go on to the 2nd grade pronouncing vocabulary words incorrectly. Don't get me wrong, I love her to death, look how cute she is:

But come on, let's learn those words Betty Kay.

That is freakin awesome! My dad has huge issues with anything not American and I get a kick out of making fun of him too. And yes the pants were a sight to see. I have not seen Dave in years. Tell him I said hello.
