One Year

At this moment last year I was coming out of recovery. I can't believe it's been a whole year since my surgery. In many ways I feel like this battle will never end, I will always be fighting it. Every pound is a struggle. But I think the struggle is worth it. This surgery has given me a new opportunity to enjoy life. I wouldn't say it's given me a new life- just a new way to live it. So, this is me being completely vulnerable- here is me on December 12, 2006:

And, here is me on December 12, 2007:

I feel I should end this post with a thank you. I entered this surgery and new stage in my life with an enormous amount of support and love from all of you. I could literally feel your prayers as I recovered last year. So, although the words don't feel adequate enough, thank you.

You have clearly worked very hard and the hard work has paid off. I know it wasn't easy and still isn't easy. You are so beautiful. Congrats on your one year.

WOW!! You look great!!! Congrats on everything. I am so proud of you and all the work you have done.
I'm also impressed by all the posting of late. I'm glad you made it through your first big ice storm, and I loved the trip down memory lane. What fun! I'll see you in a few weeks!!

Look at that tucked-in shirt! I have to admit... I scrolled up and down from the 1st picture to the 2nd picture a few times, because the transformation is so cool. Congratulations! You have worked so hard, and I am very proud of you. :)
